Both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives have passed versions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. These two bills must now be reconciled with each other and one bill presented to the President for his endorsement.
The Senate Committee on Finance has created a chart that highlights the differences between these two bills. The House and Senate bills differ as to the amount refundable for higher education credits and as to whether computer technology and equipment is a qualified expense.
