Law Library Opens 24/6

The Gould Law Library is open as a study hall 24/6, through Friday, December 18 (the last day of final exams). During this period the library will close Fridays at 3:00 p.m., then reopen Saturdays at 6:00 p.m., but otherwise will be open round-the-clock. The only exception will be Thanksgiving weekend, when the Library will close Wednesday, November 25 at 11:45 p.m., remain closed Thursday and Friday November 26 and 27, then reopen Saturday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m. Students using the library after midnight must sign in and out at the security desk. Library services will not be available during the overnight period, although a security guard will
be on duty.
The Library also will expand its “quiet zone” for finals. Effective Monday, November 23, the entire library (except for the circulation desk, the reference office, and enclosed study rooms) will become a quiet zone to maximize available study space. After exams, the soft seating area on the main floor will resume its status as a quiet conversation area, in accordance with student requests.
Drinks in enclosed containers and light snacks (such as candy and chips) are welcome in the library, but please enjoy other food (sandwiches, salads, hot meals) outside of the library. The library staff extends its support and best wishes to students as the final exam period approaches.
